How to Create a Pi Network Wallet

Still, having challenges creating your wallet? Worry no more because I will teach you how to create a wallet for either an Android phone or an iOS-supported phone.

If you're a pioneer and you want to learn how to create a Pi wallet for the first time, then keep reading. I will be teaching you how to create a wallet using the Pi Browser.

What is Pi Network Browser?

The Pi browser is a decentralized and centralized blockchain mechanism put in place for developers to create Dapps that will be used by pioneers to access everything the project has to offer.

You can only use the Pi browser to create a wallet which I will be teaching you soon. So, Pi browser is a different app on its own that you can download from the play store.

How to Create a Pi network Wallet

To create a wallet for the first time, you will need to download the "Pi Browser" or login to the main app you are using to mine and from there it will lead you with instructions on how to download the browser.

Follow these steps by steps instructions correctly to download the browser and create a wallet.

Step 1: Log in to the main Pi network app that you use for mining then click the menu tab located at the left side of the screen.

Step 2: Scroll down until you see "Pi browser" then click on it.

Step 3: Click the "SIGN IN TO PI BROWSER" button.

Step 4: If you already have the browser installed on your phone, it will lead you to the browser from there. If you don't have the browser installed, it will take you to the play store to download the browser.

It is even better to use the main app for mining and downloading the browser. This is because a lot of people will still get confused about the app to download.

Step 5: After downloading the browser and you've signed in, click the "Wallet.pi" button.

Step 6: Once you are on the wallet page, click on the "GENERATE WALLET" button.

Step 7: After you've generated your wallet, a passphrase for the wallet will be assigned to you.

Step 8: Set up a fingerprint for wallet access anytime you logged in.

Please make sure you write down the passphrase in a safe place where nobody can see it.

Note: Don't store your passphrase on your phone. Write it down in a booklet or journal for future reference.

What is a Passphrase?

A passphrase is like a password for all your digital wallet. When you lost the passphrase or someone else gets access to it, then your wallet can be unlocked and all funds inside are gone.

So a passphrase is a very important component or term in cryptocurrency as without it, you can't access your wallets and funds. In a digital wallet, you are to set up a biometric or fingerprint for the wallet so that you won't be entering the passphrase every time you want to access the fund.

That biometric is only valid with the device you're using to create the wallet. In that case, if you changed the phone or device, you can use the passphrase you've stored somewhere to access your wallet.

That is it about passphrases. Always remember to store it safely when you're creating a blockchain or crypto wallet.

Test Pi

When you have created a wallet, you will be given 100 Test Pi to test the wallet and to ensure that it is working. That test pi is only valid for that transaction and you cannot use it. Test Pi is for only testing Pi wallet transactions and is not the same as the real Pi you're mining.

6 Things to Know About Pi Wallet

1: Pi wallet can only be created using the Pi browser as you cannot create a wallet with the main Pi app.

2: The wallet is the official wallet for Mainnet when the Pi network goes live.

3: You can only create one wallet.

4: If you've migrated your Pi coin to Mainnet, it cannot be undone except if you want to transfer it to another person's wallet. This is why I said you should store it in a safe place for future use.

5: Once you lost your passphrase, all the funds in the wallet are gone forever and cannot be recovered except you remember your paraphrase.

6: If there are no funds inside the wallet, you will need to reset the wallet.

How to Transfer Pi Coin to Other Pioneers

If you want to learn how to transfer Pi coin to other pioneers, keep reading, but, please note, you cannot transfer Pi coin to other exchanges or crypto wallets for now as the network is still in the enclosed period.

No exchange has listed Pi coin. Don't follow fake news and loss your assets. Most of the exchanges listing Pi coins are only doing so to monitor the price and for future reference.

For instance, Forbes listed Pi among its list of known Digital Assets. However, that is not a signal that Pi coin has value yet. This is how to transfer a pi coin:

1: Log in to the Pi browser

2: Click the Pi wallet and open it

If you want to receive from other pioneers, you can follow the same instructions and procedures.

To view your wallet address, head over to the wallet page and you will see the address, it starts with "G" or "GB". That's how to transfer and send a Pi coin.

Now you know how to create a Pi wallet, it is now time to start exploring other areas in the blockchain as the Pi network as a lot of Dapps and developers tools pioneers can use to access different areas of the project.

Pi network is a massive cryptocurrency that has its blockchain. Don't stop mining and keep referring people who would like to know about the project.

I wish you good luck.
