There are 3 methods and ways that you can employ to recover your Pi account:
- Phone
As I've said, all these details are there in your account but you just don't know how to go about it and recover your account because you've forgotten.
Pi network added the option and layer to link and register a Pi account with Facebook because they understand the majority of people will love to link their Facebook account for seamless registration, especially those who don't like cramming passwords.
For example, if you are using the Facebook method to create an account, you won't need to add many details again except an email address or phone number, which are optional.
Notwithstanding, if you use Facebook to create a Pi network account in the first place, this is how to recover the account.
To start, follow this process:
1: Open the main Pi app and click the "Sign in with Facebook" button.
2: It will take you to a Facebook page.
3: Enter the Facebook account details that you used to create the Pi account.
Make sure the details are correct. If you've forgotten your Facebook logins, then go back to Facebook to recover the account before trying these steps.
3: If everything is correct, you will be logged in back to your account immediately.
Once you have successfully logged in, there is no need to reset your password as you can just log in with Facebook anytime except you change your Facebook details.
How to Recover a Pi Account with a Phone Number
The second option is recovering a Pi account with a phone number. If you use a number to create a Pi account you will need to use the same phone number to recover the account.
If you've changed your phone number, just know that you cannot recover the account as you will need to try other options or methods.
However, if you still have the number intact, follow these steps:
1: Open the main Pi app and click the "Sign in with Phone Number" button.
2: Enter the number you used to register for a Pi network account including your country code.
3: Click continue and it will take you to another page requesting a password.
Since you can't remember the password, just click the "Forget Password" button.
If truly you registered an account with the number, a code will be sent to you to reset your password and get back to your account.
4: Next, click "Account Recovery" then click the "Verify Number" button to select manual recovery.
5: A 6 digits code will appear. Copy the code and minimize the app.
6: Go to your message app and send the code to these numbers: USA(+16508220314), or
UK(+447723473314)
Note: Make sure you send the code with the same phone number you used to create the Pi account then wait for the message to deliver. If the message was sent and delivered successfully, you can go back to the Pi app.
7: On the Pi app, click the "I Have Sent the Text" button then wait for a response. If it happens that everything went successfully, a page will open prompting you to create a new password.
8: Create a new password and save it somewhere nobody can come across.

How to Recover Pi Account with Email
Now that you've learned how to recover an account with Facebook and phone number, some Pioneers may still want to use the email option to recover their accounts.
In this case, open the main Pi app.
1: Click the "Sign in" button.
2: Click on the "Forget password" and proceed to the account recovery page.
3: Select email as the option you'd like to use for the account recovery and enter your email.
Note: Make sure it is the email address you used to create the Pi accounts, otherwise nothing can be done.
Also, the email must be live and working before trying this step.
4: Enter the email address and click the "Continue" button. A code will be sent to your email, copy the code and go back to the app.
5: Enter the code that you copy from the email in the box and click on "Continue".
If successful, a prompt will appear asking you to create a new password. Follow the instructions and ensure you create a strong password.
