The Police board committee has fixed April 16 for the practical tests and medical screening of specialist applicants in the ongoing recruitment process of Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.

According to Leadership Newspaper, the tests will run concurrently with the medical screening of both general duty applicants and specialists, which has been scheduled at an earlier date to commence on April 16, 2024, and will last for only two weeks.

The Spokesman for the Nigerian Police Commission while speaking said that applicants were expected to be tested in various fields such as band, carpentry, communication, driving, electrical, information technology, masonry, and marine technology.

Other fields may include mechanics, medical assistants, painting, plumbing, tiling, painting, welding, and veterinary assistants.

Screening Exercise

In the process of applying for positions within the Nigeria Police Force, candidates must undergo various screening procedures, including medical assessments and specialist interviews. Candidates need to understand how to print their medical screening slip and specialist interview slip. 

The practical tests have been scheduled to be held in 20 locations across the country, which are the 17 zonal command headquarters including Kaduna, Yobe, and Zamfara state command headquarters.

He said that the Police Force then had seasoned mechanics who handled repairs of its vehicles, masons that built police barracks, engineers who were into road construction, and tailors who sewed Police uniforms, etc. 

He said the practical tests for the specialist applicants will be meticulously handled to ensure that the best hands are selected.
